Smart, Pretty & Awkward

How to be Smarter: Motivation gets the running shoes on, determination gets you through the last lap. Motivation gets you to sit down at the computer, determination gets you through the writer’s block. Motivation is needed to start planning, determination is needed to finish executing.

How to be Prettier: If you are doing an at-home manicure and then planning to put on tights, put the tights on before the manicure (pulling on tights usually ruins nail polish that is not 100% dry).

How to be (less) Awkward:  Not awkward, just awesome: down the Internet rabbit hole.

As an add on to the already great “How to be Smarter” tip, I definitely find that what you wear influences your mood and your work. If you’re writing a paper in sweats, chances are your work will turn our sloppy. But if you’re writing a paper in an adorable outfit, your paper will probably be a lot more cohesive and put together.

    I love this sentence:
Your thoughts become words, your words your actions, your actions your destiny. If you dream big, you’ll succeed big.
Successful people make more mistakes but get up and keep going.

Haha, I just reread my earlier comment (above Pauline’s), and I just caught my typo. Instead of writing “chances are your work will turn out sloppy,” I wrote, “chances are your work will turn our sloppy.” How ironic, considering I was wearing sweatpants…I guess that further proves that philosophy.
