How to be Smarter: Significant others can be wonderful shoulders to lean on when times are bad, even when the ‘bad times’ are just the daily minor annoyances. But they should also be your biggest champions when times are good, even when the ‘good times’ are just the daily small wins. If you only text your sweetie when the dog gets into the garbage, but not when your class advisor sneaks you into an advanced class because she knows you can handle it, something is off. Small daily annoyances are fine to vent about, but a partner should also be excited and happy to celebrate the daily small victories as well.
How to be Prettier: ”Going to the gym? Make the most of your scraped-back bun by applying conditioner to your ends. Conditioning plus cardio equals top-to-toe gorgeousness!” — This tip and more from InstyleUK’s Best Beauty Advice, where experts and readers submit beauty tips. Although I’ve seen the Facebook page before, and even submitted some tips to it, I just lost a half hour right now scrolling down and seeing what little tidbits other girls have contributed since I last looked at it.
How to be (less) Awkward: Watching this makes me really happy–I love how the little guy is cautious at first, and then runs off in glee. Happy Friday

Awesome post! I especially needed to read the Smarter piece – I called Jer this morning at an unusual time, and he answered, “What’s wrong?” Hopefully that will shame me into remembering to share the day’s happiness as well.
The seal post is tooooo cute!!!!
I love your Smarter and agree with you 100 percent. I feel like it should be that way with friendships, too– instead of just calling when you need advice and something isn’t going perfectly, it’s important to highlight the good things going on in your lives as well!
Also, your Awkward made me smile
Hopefully you seen this, but your banner is cutting of the first part of your blog posts (quotes portion). Just thought you should know if you haven’t seen it already.
That’s a cute quote. I read the Writer’s Almanac every day and there was recently a piece about Tina Fey on her birthday, including that quote. Love the post today and I love your blog! I stumbled upon it one day, lost a few hours, and have checked it daily since. Keep them coming! =)
I love your blog. Really love it. It makes me smile even when I’m in a bad mood. Thanks. And I love the quotes! But, as Megan wrote, your header cuts them in half!
lots of Love!
a little beauty tip –
after you brush your teeth, but carmex on straight away to lock in moisture and create a base for your lipstick. then smooth your finger along your eyebrows: the leftover carmex will nourish them and keep them in place!
love the smarter and you’ve used this quote before.
Love this post and I am LOVING CoffeewithMolly, Molly! All great stuff.
